Hypnotherapy is the process of relaxing the conscious mind, allowing the therapist to talk to the sub-conscious mind, which is extremely susceptible to suggestion. Using this suggestibility and responsiveness, the therapist can create helpful changes in the client in the form of new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behavior, and feelings.
In the first session we will discuss what you would like to work on, develop goals, and create an obtainable path for success. During this initial discussion we will outline what hypnosis is and what it is not. Any questions and/or concerns a client has will be addressed prior to entering into the hypnotic state.
In order to place a client into the hypnotic state, or a deep state of relaxation, a series of relaxation techniques will be implemented. Through the utilization of breathing, listening, and visualizations the client will be eased into a pleasant and natural state of relaxation- hypnosis.
Despite what you may infer from stage hypnosis shows, YOU ARE 100% IN CONTROL and fully AWARE of what is happening. Removing yourself from the hypnotic state is as simple as saying your name.
Each hypnotic session is custom tailored for the client based on the discussion in the first part of the appointment. While in the hypnotic state, a series of visualizations and positive suggestions will be given to the client in order to replace old negative associations with new positive ones, thereby allowing positive changes to manifest.
When you come out of the hypnotic state, you will feel deeply relaxed, as you begin to manifest the positive changes in your life.
